Fuji artiste, Alhaji Abass Akande, aka Obesere, has finally released a video CD – ‘Rape Scandal’ to prove his innocence on the rape allegation levelled against him sometime in February, by one Olanike Olaiya.

 

Encomium Weekly reports that the CD which contains Obesere’s interview and that of his witness, Bolatito Omo Owo has been selling like hot cake since its release on March 17 – so far, thousands of the CD have been sold.

The baby was born to a 16-year-old girl in the nation’s Eastern Cape and she died a day later at the Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital. The baby also had no nose and the one eye was set in the middle while the remaining area was covered with skin.

The birth of yet another deformed infant to a 16-year-old mom from the Eastern Cape has raised serious concerns. The Eastern Cape Health Department is now calling for research into why so many babies were being born with deformities in the province. 

Eastern Cape spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo told the South Africa news agency that some 50 deformed babies have been born in the region in the past two years and there is no “documented cause” for the growing trend.

The near-fisticuffs reported between two foremost leaders of the main opposition party on Friday at a NEC meeting in Abuja, former Lagos and Borno state honchoes, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alli Modu Sheriff is really a bad omen that if not quickly nipped in the bud, the aftermath might result in perpetual slavery of the masses in the hands of the bigger kleptocrats (PDP) because all of us are thieves anyway. Like seriously, the leadership of the APC has a lot to do if they are really serious with wrestling power from these hawks. Before now, issues like the current happening were envisaged by the political literati and these clerisy had fore-warned a crack were care not meticulously taken, and it's so pitiable that it's happening now.

Mr Ayo Fayose, candidate of PDP in the June 21 governorship election in Ekiti, has appealed to members of the party to give him chance to govern the State again.

Fayose made the appeal at the national secretariat of PDP in Abuja when he came to collect his Certificate of Return.

He told newsmen that he had commenced reconciliation moves with aspirants who had contested the party`s ticket him. He assured that they would not lose out if he won the governorship poll.

He said that he would behave like the biblical Joseph who did not revenge his travails on his brothers who sold him into slavery when he became prime minister of Egypt.

He said that his emergence as the party`s candidate was a rare opportunity given by God for him to rule the state again.

We Won’t Probe Diezani –Presidency

The Presidency has said that it will not probe the allegations of misappropriation of  public funds levelled against the Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, told Saturday PUNCH on Friday, that the Federal Government would not set up a probe panel to investigate the minister because the House of Representatives was currently probing her.

‘Sleeping Delegate’ At The National Conference Has Died

An elderly male delegate at the ongoing National Conference, who became popular after a photo of him sleeping went viral, has died. The deceased, identified as Hamma Misau, is said to have given up the ghost at the National Hospital in Abuja. He was 67 years old.

A delegate at the ongoing National Conference in Nigeria, retired police AIG Hamma Misau has died at the National Hospital in Abuja. Mallam Misau died last night of an undisclosed illness at the age of 67. Mallam Misau became famous after a photo of him taking a nap at the conference was shared on social media three days ago.

Barrister Mohammed Hamma a cousin to the retired police officer confirmed his demise to SaharaReporters. He said a Muslim funeral is due shortly in Bauchi for the late delegate. Mallam Hamma Misau hails from Misau in Bauchi state.

President Jonathan Finally Confesses That $10billion Is Missing

President Goodluck Jonathan has admitted in faraway Amsterdam in the Netherlands that he is aware of some financial impropriety in the accounting system of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). He also claimed that the government led by him is doing its best to address the big mess. 

President Jonathan admitted that the suspended CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is right that money is missing from Nigeria's crude oil sale but he argued that the missing sum is not as much as Sanusi stated. He said about $10bn was yet to be remitted by the NNPC as stated by the Ministry of Finance.

But why has NNPC not remitted the N10bn and why was it a secret until Sanusi exposed it? Speaking during an interactive session between him and the Nigerian community in Amsterdam, Jonathan said he has ordered a forensic audit of the corporation so that the money can be traced and recovered.

President Jonathan who further admitted that Nigeria as a country lacked the security architectures to contain the dreaded Boko Haram sect, assured that terrorist activities in the country would be dealt with effectively.
