FG Marks New PDP Building In Abuja For Demolition

The Federal Capital Development Authority, FCTA, acting on the directive of the Federal government has marked the national secretariat of the New Peoples Democratic Party for demolition. The building is situated in the Maitama District of Abuja.

Going by the notice on the wall and the gate of the building that is located at number 4, Oyi River Crescent, it has been marked for demolition since October 11, 2013.

However, the Armoured Personnel Carrier, that was initially stationed near the building as well as the Police Monitoring Van have all been removed.

Only some few anti-riot policemen were seen around the building.
However, the. Adamawa State Governor’s Lodge has been unsealed. The New PDP had relocated to the building after its Oyi River Crescent office was shut by the police.

It was discovered that, the FCDA took the decision of unsealing the building when the New PDP said it had accepted the ruling of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja. The court had ruled that the New PDP should henceforth stop parading itself as the authentic PDP.
