WTF! Ogogoro Drinkers From Abuja Cannot Dictate to Us-Nyako

Speaking when he received an emissary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Umaru Duhu, who is the national vice chairman of the party for the Northeast, Nyako carpeted leaders of his party saying “the era when some few Ogogoro consumers from Abuja would chart the destiny of the state is over, because people have vowed to take their destinies into their hands”.

Nyako left little doubt as to his political future when he told Duhu who appealed to him to join the APC that “I don’t have your card and have not requested for one, but I admire your APC governors for the feats they have achieved.

In the North-east, the governors of Yobe and Borno states are shining examples of good governance, because in spite of the security challenges, these governors are able to touch their people’s lives. Similarly the South-west governors are doing well and have transformed their states significantly. We will align with democratic forces wherever they are and we will continue to give any democrat a listening ear, regardless of his political party”.

Governor Murtala Nyako is a member of the rebel new Peoples Democratic Party, who have now lost out in the scheme of things as both the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and a Lagos High Court have refused to grant them recognition with the INEC saying the Bamanga Turkur led Peopled Democratic Party is the authentic PDP. This has heightened the desperation within the nPDP to find alternative platforms in order to remain relevant in the scheme of things.
