Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, Monday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State described fasting and prayer as critical weapons needed by all leaders to lead their people.
The former leader said he fasts and prays before taking any critical decision as an elder-statesman.
He stated this while delivering a speech at the ongoing commissioning of special projects of the Rivers State Government, led by Governor Rotimi Amaechi in the state.
While commending the efforts of governor Amaechi, Obasanjo equally hailed his wife, Dame Judith Amaechi for her supportive roles.
“You are the only person who can tame this man. I thank you for what you are contributing to his success and works in Rivers state,” he said
DailyPost reports that Obasanjo arrived the oil rich city this morning at about 11:45am on a working visit.
The former war-lord was received at the Port Harcourt Airport by the state governor, Rotimi Ameachi and top government officials.
He is in the state to commission some recently completed projects, including the G.U. Ake road at Eliozu in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
