Barcelona arrived in England on Monday for their UEFA Champions League game against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night. With former Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho back in England for a second stint at Chelsea, old rivalries were renewed with the Portuguese taking a swipe a t the Catalan Giants.Mourinho asked of the favourites in the Manchester City-Barcelona game took it a step further to criticize the Spanish Champions telling ITV:
“Of course by history Barcelona is the favourite, but this Barcelona, this season, is showing that it is not the same in previous years, Of course they have [Lionel] Messi, he is special, and they have more than him.
“But I think this is the worst Barcelona of many many years, so City have a chance.”Jose Mourinho had a lot of bust ups with Barcelona during his time as manager at the Santiago Bernebeu. The most notable of them was poking former Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova in the eye.
