Watch Kanye West's Elaborate Proposal To Kim Kardashian

"Kanye is a perfectionist," said Kim Kardashian's sister Kourtney on Sunday night's episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. "I know that whatever the surprise is, it's going to be something major."

The surprise was the rapper's proposal to Kardashian, which, as footage of the video showed, involved the Chicago Symphony, San Francisco's AT&T Park and a giant Jumbotron displaying the message "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!."

After blindfolding Kardashian and driving her onto the field, Kanye would eventually drop to one knee and propose to the reality star. "I can't believe this is happening," Kardashian said. Family and friends then rushed the field to celebrate with the newly-engaged couple.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Are America's Least Desirable Neighbors

If all went as planned, this would've been the first time fans had seen any footage of the proposal. Last October, YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley leaked parts of the video to his video-sharing site MixBit and was subsequently sued by the couple. "Hurley proceeded to try to turn the event into one starring himself, broadcasting the images he knew were the exclusive property rights of someone else," said the couple in the lawsuit. The couple included a photo of Hurley holding a non-disclosure agreement.

After proposing to Kardashian on her 33rd birthday, West admitted that he was uncharacteristically nervous about her response. "I'm not arrogant about love and feelings at all. . . I knew I wanted her to be my girl for a long time," he told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show, On Air. He also disclosed that Kardashian will take his last name and that he hopes to enlist the organizers of Chanel's fashion shows to work on the ceremony.
This will be Kardashian's third marriage, following last year's divorce from basketball player Kris Humphries. West and Kardashian began dating in 2012, with the rapper announced onstage that Kardashian was pregnant with his child. The couple welcomed daughter North "Nori" West into the world last June.

Kardashian and West are set to get married this May in Paris, reports Us Weekly. The couple reportedly visited the city late last year, touring Versailles and attending a dinner hosted by designer Azzedine Alaia.
