I Remain Loyal To PDP; APC Is A Commercial Party – Tukur

Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, yesterday described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as “All Commercial Party.”

He stated this when members of the National Consolidated Group (NCG) paid him a courtesy call in Abuja.
The Adamawa-born politician declared he that he was committed to the PDP, adding that the PDP is the only platform that has the capability to govern the country rightly.

Tukur further urged aggrieved members of the party to have a rethink and return to the fold.
“The PDP is solid, intact and united as ever. This is evident by the influx of politicians to the PDP. Many more politicians, men and women of goodwill, will still join the party. Truly, the PDP is the party to beat. I enjoin all members of PDP family who have defected to other parties to come back.”

“The APC or whatever name, is called a commercial party and does not exist as a real political party. So, I call on you and indeed all Nigerians to vote massively for the PDP in future elections and support, it as the party is a united political family. I urge you to work for PDP and ensure that there is peace and harmonious existence in the party.”

“I will also continue to serve the PDP and work for the party for there lies the greatest hope for a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.”

Earlier, National Coordinator of the group, Francis Ajon Ugboho, said the group visited Tukur, because of his visionary leadership in the party.

According to him, the immediate objective of the group is to work for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 general elections
