Adamawa House Of Assembly Pass Impeachment Notice On Nyako



Members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, on Wednesday, directed the clerk of the House to pass an impeachment notice on Governor Murtala Nyako and his Deputy.


Indications of possible impeachment of the Governor became rife following moves by the lawmakers to investigate the expenditures of the state government.


In what could be seen as a step towards the impeachment process, the Assembly had ordered the arrest of four commissioners for their failure to appear before the lawmakers.
These moves have, however, led to fear of impeachment process against the Governor as the lawmakers had hitherto appeared complacent in checking the excesses of the executive. Story still unveiling…
