“We Brought Foreign Help, Not The Nigerian Government – Tonto Dikeh Speaks On Chibok Girls

Controversial Actress cum singer, Tonto Dikeh was one of the few Nigerian celebrities who gathered to support the Bring Back Our Girls protest in Lagos on Saturday.

While protesting, she said “Our protest today to the Government House is a peaceful one. We must continue until we have a positive effect. We brought the American military men and other military men from other countries to fight for the release of the abducted girls. I am yet to see the Nigeria Government assist on the issue.

Kudos to the celebrities worldwide who have dedicated their time to show their support, we love them all.”

Speaking further with Net, singer, Tiwa Savage said “it is not an isolated protest, we are sending message across to the terrorist that we won’t accept it this time around. We have heard that the government are actually working effectively for the release of the abducted girls but I’m yet to see result. We have to fight for ourselves. We can’t just rely on international support.”

The protest started at about 9.15AM from Falomo roundabout and ended at the Government House, Ikoyi. It lasted for about three hours and ended with the second stanza of the Nigerian National Anthem.
