Businessman Beg National Assembly To Stop Emeka Offor From Tormenting Him

An Onitsha based businessman, Chief Eugene Arthur Nworah has petitioned the National Assembly and other relevant authorities to prevail on oil mogul and former godfather of Anambra State politics, Sir Emeka Offor from using the police to torment him and his family members.

Nworah said police officers from Special Armed Robbery Squad, (SARS) headquarters, Awkuzu, Anambra State had in March visited his home while he was out of the country, tormenting his wife and children on the order of Offor.

In a strong worded petition to the leaders of the two chambers of the national assembly, Anambra State governor and others, Nworah alleged that “on the 19th day of March, 2014 a full team of SARS operatives led by CSP James Nwafor invaded his GRA residence, Onitsha while I was out of the country on a business trip and traumatized my wife and other family members over a frivolous directive by a billionaire businessman, Sir Emeka Offor”.

According to Chief Nworah he was later arrested and manhandled “when I personally drove to Central Police Station, Onitsha to ascertain the reason behind the invasion of my house”.

He lamented that he was being persecuted because of a business deal worth over nine hundred and forty five million naira (945,000,000) in which he had accused Chief Offor of being responsible for the loss.

Chief Nworah, however, solicited all relevant authorities and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Sir Emeka Offor’s associates to compel the business mogul to pay him back the worth of his seven 20-feet containers which were filled with brassier.

He alleged that Sir Offor had auctioned them through his cronies in the Nigeria Customs Service.
