Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta, has admitted that he will break down and cry, when Victor Valdes finally quits the Nou Camp next year.
The goalkeeper, whose current deal runs out at the end of the season, is widely expected to leave La Liga and probably join Monaco in the summer. Valdes has been in the first team for 12 years and has already confirmed that he will not be renewing his deal, as he seeks a fresh experience.
“There is no doubt I will cry when Valdes leaves,” the 29-year-old told reporters.
“We just have to hope we can win trophies this season so that he enjoys a good departure.
“The squad’s connection with Tata has been great from the start. He is a good person and a real football man – he knows exactly how players feel.”
Iniesta himself, recently penned a deal that will see him stay at Barcelona until 2018
