AC Milan Sack Allegri
AC Milan have confirmed the sacking of manager, Massimiliano Allegri, with immediate effect, following Sunday’s 4-3 loss to relegtion threatened Sassuolo.
The head coach had announced that he would leave the Serie A side this summer, but the Milan heirachy on Monday decided to terminate his appointment. Assistant coach Mauro Tassotti has been appointed as interim coach.
“AC Milan have dismissed the coach of the first team and his staff, Massimiliano Allegri, with immediate effect,” the Italian giants said in a press release.
“AC Milan would like to thank Mr. Allegri and his staff for the work done and we wish them the best professional success. The team is to be provisionally coached by Mauro Tassotti.”
The club had given a clear hint they were willing to let Allegri go, after they announced that a decision would be made after their defeat yesterday.
