Manchester United striker, Robin van Persie, has insisted that David Moyes is the right man to manage the club and is confident that the Scot will change the club’s fortunes around.
The reigning Premier League champions, have struggled for consistency this season under their new coach and are already 11 points adrift of table toppers, Arsenal.
Van Persie himself has missed a couple of games with groin injury and ahead of this weekend’s game away to Chelsea, the Dutchman is confident that Moyes will mastermind a strong finish to the campaign.
“Moyes needs time, he’s new,” Van Persie said. “The manager is our leading man and he will change things around.
“We lost too many points this year, but we are doing everything we can to change that.”
The former Arsenal captain, is however keen for the winning culture, which the Old Trafford side is known for, to continue under Moyes.
He added: “We are used to winning. If you win, it’s a normal day at the office. After the Community Shield win, none of the players really celebrated, or played music, as it was the way things were.”
