Man Kills Self After Manchester United Loses To Newcastle

Unable to bear the loss of Manchester United in the Sunday encounter with Newcastle United, a Kenyan fan committed suicide, officials have disclosed.

28-year-old John Macharia, not being able to control his emotion over the loss, jumped from a storey building located in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

United lost 1-0 to Newcastle on Sunday. The Sunday loss made it their second home defeat in four days, putting the club in a very uncomfortable position on the league table.
“Macharia jumped from seventh floor of an apartment at Pipeline Estate after realising that his team, Manchester United lost 1-0 to Newcastle at Old Trafford, and committed suicide,” said Nairobi’s County Police Commander, Benson Kibui.

Kibui had advised football fans in Kenya to develop interest in local clubs, instead of committing suicide for foreign cubs that do not really have any direct impact on their lives and their country.

“Football fans should enjoy the matches… but they should not commit suicide since life is very precious,” Kibui had advised.
